Why does the NRA staff insist on inserting a "Do not vote for" list in the pages of the ballot issue of the NRA magazines?

The wording of the original magazine cover was modified to
reflect my considered political opinion
concerning the direction of NRA and what it is doing.
I am one of many ex-board members convinced that the "Do not vote for" advertising is the work of a small coalition of staff and long-time board members with great financial benefits, who have, and will do anything to maintain their positions, financial perks, and extremely high salaries. Voting members with any memory should have noticed that there have been drastic changes in the board these past few years, with some very pro-active members getting the boot when they insisted on financial responsibility and political activism, rather than the go-along-to-get-along methods of the current staff.
It should be obvious to anyone in the gun rights arena that the NRA is not too very effective in protecting our Second Amendment Rights! And yet, they continue to spend HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS OF DOLLARS of your membership monies to advertise and send beg-letters for more HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS OF DOLLARS. A very large percentage of the monies go to the advertising and mail-house contractors who maintain a large staff to write all the speeches and magazine columns, and design the ad campaigns.
Do you want an NRA run by those who get paid by the QUANTITY of magazines and advertisements, and the QUANTITY of mail items that go out each day? Do you want an organization that depends on the QUANTITY of the membership rather than the QUALITY of the members?
I propose an NRA Board of Directors that insists on writing ads and speeches that will get the attention of our elected representatives. You are encouraged to vote to keep activism alive on the NRA board of directors. See more on the candidates that lost in the recent elections at www.PaulRevere.org/nrabod . Every one was listed in the NRA magazine, YOUR magazine, in a "vote against" advertisement.
